ServMon xB is a remote environmental monitoring system to increase the security of your facilities and reduce unforeseen downtimes of your equipment. Its modular conception allows it to monitor many sensors and trigger emergency actions like individual control of power outlets and alert you via SNMP traps, e-mail or Syslog messages.
Powerful, extensive and scalable solution
ServMon xB is a flexible and expandable modular system that will grow with your needs. It can be used as a standalone unit and expanded quickly and easily with sensors and other peripheral devices.
A wide range of analogue sensors can be monitored by the ServMon xB System. Sensors are available to easily monitor temperature, humidity, ambient light and current consumption anywhere on the optional xBus
Digital input monitoring
ServMon xB can monitor up to 260 dry contacts like door contacts and smoke or water detectors. Four sensors can be directly connected at the rear of the case and add 256 other sensors by using up to 16 Digital Input Modules.
Remote Power Management
ServMon xB can be cascaded with up to 16 Power Switch Satellites (PSE518MA) to control up to 128 power outlets over the xBus interface. The administrator can create groups of power outlets to control servers with redundant power supplies and define restart and power-up delays for each power outlet.
Scheduler for time-controlled applications
This time-controlled function lets you trigger actions like power outlet control or information transmission (Syslog, e-mails, SNMP traps) according to a defined timetable.
ServMon xB can automatically carry out up to 255 rules to take predetermined actions in response to a specific event. For example, a rule can be defined to switch a power outlet OFF and send an e-mail when a predefined temperature is reached or if a contact door is open.
Power supply monitoring
ServMon xB can monitor its own power supplies and send Syslog messages, SNMP traps or e-mails in case of power failure. It can also monitor the power supplies of all the connected digital input modules and all power switch devices.
Full configuration can be performed through the Web using an http or https Web GUI. The system has contextual built-in on-line help, which describes all screens and functions.
Easy daisychaining cabling
All xBus devices can be daisychained together using standard RJ-45 cables.
Multiple concurrent access
One administrator and up to 254 users can have concurrent access to the ServMon xB Web server using an http or an https connection.
High security access
ServMon xB supports SSL 128-bit/RSA 1024-bit encryption technology to establish a secure connection. Furthermore, one administrator account and 254 user accounts with specified rights are used to protect the system against unauthorised access.
Improved log file reporting
Event logs are written to the internal log file and can be sent to a primary and a secondary Syslog Server and to an e-mail address. The ServMon xB has an RTC with battery backup, which supplies date and time for all logging options. This RTC can be synchronised manually or automatically using one or two SNTP/NTP server.
Reliable with redundant power supply
To improve the reliability, the ServMon xB and its main peripherals have dual power input.
