Many Digital Signage or video extension applications simply require a “long distance video cable” to connect the source computer to the screen. CATx cable is ideal for such applications because it is cheap, ubiquitous, flexible and easy to install.
The Wizard Multimedia Extender LP effectively creates a convenient “long distance CATx video cable. The Extenderkit supports HD Video up to 1080p over 150 meters.
The receiver features an adjustment screw for simple video compensation with perfect results. The transmitter is able to store the character of the monitor. Thus it clones the EDID datas if no monitor is actually connected.
Previous solutions have required a power supply at one or both ends of the cable. With the Wizard Multimedia LP the power is driven down the cable to avoid the need for a power supply at the display end. All the power is drawn from one USB connection at the computer end.
