Excellent Video Quality using only one CATx Cable

Hallbergmoos, February 18, 2009 - With the new CATx DVI-D Plus USB HID-Extender, Black Box, the specialist for IT and telecommunications solutions, presents a KVM Extender to transmit high performance digital video signals over distances up to 70 meters. Using only one single CATx cable the device transmits video signals without compression, delay or artefacts. What's more, USB HID data gets prolonged from the work station to the remote unit as well.

By supporting HID (Human Interface Device) not only USB devices - for instance keyboards and computer mice - can be connected, but also other machines using the HID protocol like serial touch screens. Hence, many applications are possible for this type of extender. Examples are film studios or Digital Signage systems. This extension guarantees resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 up to 50 meters - depending on the link cable provided.
DDC read capability enables the extender to valid EDID information from the connected screen. This ensures best Plug & Play support with smooth booting and optimum image presentation.
