The brand new VDSL Quadband Extender Set PoE does not only supply high bandwidth for your data traffic over long distances, it also features a POE802.3as port at the remote end to power PoE devices. As the remote unit is powered solely through the VDSL link, the kit enables you to install IP equipment like IP cameras, VoIP phones, wireless LAN access points, etc. nearly anywhere. There is no more need to worry about powering IP equipment wherever it is needed.
The VDSL Quadband Extender Set PoE gives you a net bandwidth up to 25Mbps.
Using it over a 1000m link, you can still operate with 5Mbps and 5.5W PoE. The VDSL comes as a complete kit with transmitter, receiver and power supplies needed only for the local unit. The installation is simple plug and play using only two copper wires.
Whenever you want to bring Ethernet beyond the limits of standard CATx cabling, you may consider VDSL. VDSL is easier and cheaper than installing fibre optic cabling. For most applications the bandwidth is more than enough. In special for IP video surveillance projects there is one obstacle: How to get power for the remote VDSL modem where it is needed? And how to get power for the IP cameras?
Data and Power
The brand new VDSL Quadband Extender Set PoE is your solution. Only the local modem (transmitter) need AC power. The remote modem (receiver) is powered through the VDSL line with the really essential extra: the receiver features a POE802.3as port to power PoE your IP cameras, VoIP phone etc.
Distance /Speed
The VDSL Quadband Extender Set PoE gives you a net bandwidth up to 25Mbps. Using it over a 1000m link, you can still operate with 5Mbps and 5.5W PoE
Installation
Most VDSL solutions require four copper wires to transmit data and power over a VDSL link. The new VDSL Quadband Extender Set PoE just uses two! For the ease of installation you can connect your VDSL line by the RJ45 interface or alternate by a simple 2-pin terminal block. Make sure the On/Off button is on position OFF, insert your wires then press the button ON, instantly your VDSL line and your IP camera at the remote end are ready to go.
investment protection
The VDSL Extender Set PoE feature on over voltage protection on your VDSL link. In addition there is an automatic shut down function in case of a connection with a non compatible device to the PoE port to protect your investment.
